Before starting the label, Stanzee studied fashion at TAFE Ultimo, Sydney and Central St Martins, London. Her respect for leather came as soon as she started working with the medium and personally refuses to use leather that is only farmed for fashion but instead uses hides that are a bi-product.
The label has become part of the ‘Slow Fashion Movement’. There is world concern that if ‘Fast Disposable Fashion’ keeps increasing at the current rate, the impact on the social and ecological environment will also increase and be devastating. STANZEE garments are designed and manufactured to survive multitudes of seasons that will assist the environment in the long term. Stanzee is determined that her clothes not only be fashion forward but wearable and believes that ‘Good design transcends time’.
Furthermore empowering women is a global fundamental movement that universally we all want to be part of. Stanzee's collections resonates with her belief's on the issue and designs for women who want to reflect their unique personalities and voice. Providing impeccable tailoring along with exquisite butter soft leather and fabric designs are core fundamentals to the brand.
